About the Presenter: Whilst Head of HR at a large manufacturing organisation, Kathy Daniels became interested in employment law and now writes and speaks extensively on the topic. She writes for organisations such as the CIPD, Croners and Agora Business Publications as well as presenting seminars and training events. These cover a variety of audiences including small business entrepreneurs on the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses programme, a large construction company and the Civil Service.
She has written a number of books, including an employment law textbook which is now in its fourth edition. She writes regular newsletters for a range of organisations, including the CIPD, and is responsible for writing and updating the CIPD ‘Law at Work’ training materials. Kathy is the CIPD Lead Tutor for employment law and is also a Lay Member of the Employment Tribunals, sitting in Birmingham.
In addition to this, Kathy is a Senior Lecturer at Aston University teaching employment law and employee relations at undergraduate and postgraduate level, and is Deputy Head of the Work and Organisational Psychology Department.
Kathy is a Fellow of the CIPD and a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
