Course Description: Having only recently moved from a Spring and Autumn Budget to a single event (an Autumn Budget) in 2018, this year (2019) will be unusual year in not having a Budget at all. There continue, however, to be major developments to the tax landscape with the Draft Finance Bill that was published in July 2019, major proposals as part of the election campaigns that are now underway and a number of significant cases considered by the Courts. These and some general tax developments are covered in this tax Update.
About the Presenter: Lakshmi Narain is a property tax specialist and Technical Director in the National Tax Department of Baker Tilly. He continues to be heavily involved with The Chartered Institute of Taxation and the Stamp Taxes Practitioners Group and is the Chair of the South Wales Branch of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, a member of the Editorial Board of Tax Journal as well as continuing to edit Tax on Property by CCH.
